Meda Station is located 40 kms east of Derby in the Kimberley region of Western Australia and is run in conjunction with the western half of Kimberley Downs and together the land area amounts to 505,857ha. The average rainfall is 660mm and daily temperature during the dry season is around 30°C with the station running around 25,000 head of Brahman cattle.
We are currently looking for a Station Hand / Stockperson for the remainder of the 2017 season that will close at the end of November. To be considered for the job, you will need to be skilled and competent on horseback with cattle mustering experience preferable. General mechanical and maintenance skills will be an advantage and previous experience working on a large cattle station will be well regarded, but not essential. You will need to be self-motivated, passionate about living and working on an outback cattle station and be prepared to commit for the remainder of the season. As highly physical job, you will need to be of excellent fitness and health and be capable to work as part of a team.
A highly competitive day rate is offered in line with experience along with air-conditioned quarters, mess, wifi and common room.
